The Way We Are
Family: Married for 37 years to Phillip Moseley; we have two daughters, Dana and Lauren
Comments: After graduating from William and Mary, which I loved, I figured out a way to keep going to college and get paid for it, by going to grad school at UNC-Chapel Hill. So I became a Tar Heel and within two years was married to a cute law student, Phil. I finished my Ph.D. in Zoology and found the perfect job as a biology professor at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. I've been there ever since, and it's been a terrific career. One of the benefits of being a field biologist is that I was able to travel the world with students in tow, teaching courses about the natural history of the Galapagos Islands, or animal behavior in East Africa, or bird diversity on shade-grown coffee farms in Nicaragua. Even better, my husband and two daughters have traveled with me on many of those trips. By the way, we also raised, trained, and raced sled dogs for years, and in 1994 Phil was the Mid-Atlantic Sled Dog Racing District's champion in the 8-dog class!
