The Way We Are
Family: divorced; 1 son - just turned 43
Comments: 33+ years in mortgage banking as an underwriter; My mom had a massive stroke in 1999 so I retired to take care of her for almost 3 years. My son moved to Charleston SC in 2006 and, since he is my only family (2 legged) I followed. My volunteer work includes delivering Meals on Wheels and the women's domestic violence shelter. My 3 dogs, Roxanne - miniature dachshund, Emily - basset hound and Samantha -yellow lab, are registered therapy dogs. Each week we visit a nursing home and a senior day care center. Also, we participate in several programs at an elementary school and the public library where the kids read to the dogs. I am 20 mintues for the ocean. I think the dogs love it as much or more than I do. I'm in to yoga, love to garden, kayak and ride my Harley. I am a Wesley Rider - a group of motorcycle riders from my church. Still working on meeting a guy that rides and goes to church but pickins are slim down here. Over all, life is good.
