Married to Janet Lynn Osing of Ellicott City, Maryland, for almost 40 years. We met at Virginia Tech.
Sons: Christopher C. (34) and J. Ryan (29)
I’ve been doing:
Graduated Virginia Tech June, 1971 with B’Arch. Engaged in private practice in Newark, Delaware for 7 years before joining the Federal government as Staff Architect with the Architectural Barriers Board in 1978. After 2 ½ years was offered a position at General Services Administration managing GSA’s National Architectural Barriers program and supporting the Administrator. After 5 years at GSA, was offered a position by the U.S. Architect of the Capitol to establish and manage the AOC’s Technical Support Division overseeing the agency’s computer-aided design system and developing agency standards of practice. After 23 very rewarding years on the Hill, retired in June 2008 and opened a very active private practice in Arlington designing residential projects. It was and continues to be a wonderful ride!
