The Way We Are
Comments: After UVa and a short stint in the Navy, I married Linda Drake (WL '66 and W&M '70) in 1972. We moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where I got an MA in Latin American Studies and skiing. In 1975, we moved to Phoenix for a MIM from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
The next three years found us on the "Tiger Tour" with Esso Inter-America. From 1975-78 we lived in 9 countries from Bermuda to Brazil including Costa Rica, Aruba and Venezuela. Carnival in Rio de Janeiro was a blast.
In 1980, we moved back to the states and settled in Annandale, VA. 31 years and two sons later, Linda and I enjoy family, friends, restaurants, reading and travel and our jobs (Linda is Director of Social Work at Goodwin House and I am a partner with the private equity real estate firm Brookwood Financial Partners).
