I joined the U.S. Air Force and served at Aviano Air Force Base; Aviano, Italy. 3 years.
Eglin Air Force Base, Eglin, Fl. 1 year.
1970 - 1972; Northern Virginia Community College
1972 - 1974; George Washington University; B.A. International Affairs.
About 1978, I started my own business, Benson's Place, Tee-shirt printing and sales. My shop was in Georgetown next to our old favorite,"Dixie Liquors." After 10 years, I closed the shop and moved to Florida. I worked for a few years at a beach resort and finally retired early to collect Social Security. So, if you are still working; keep it up, Social Security and I need the money.
My 2 sons; Travis H. Rose is married and lives in San Diego, Ca.; and Dylan H. Rose is serving with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan. God bless our young men and women in uniform.
I have been very fortunate to have traveled alot in Europe, especially Italy and some other areas; Mexico and St. Thomas. Soon as my little one returns from Afghanistan, I hope to travel again. Meanwhile I am working on the Rose family history and staying warm in the Florida sun.
I want to thank Betsy and Susan for keeping up this site and Johnny Shuffle for telling me about it. It is that time of life when High School memories are all good and you think about all the wonderful classmates.
